Moisture Extraction & Structural Drying

When a flood or water damage hits your home in the Palm Springs area, one of the first things that needs to be done is to extract all the water and dry the property. Our technicians use equipment that is able to completely remove all traces of moisture and dry the structure. Below are the steps to our process:
MOISTURE DETECTION:
Providing a complete moisture inspection ensures our clients thorough and comprehensive detail. King's Remediation utilizes non-invasive State-of- the-Art moisture detection instruments to establish the extent of water migration, water damages & moisture intrusion to building materials and contents. Utilizing information through discovery & detection helps us determine the dry standard & establish structural drying goals.
EXTRACTION:
The first step in the water removal process is extraction. King's Remediation utilizes technologically advanced equipment. The process of water extraction is performed in an expeditious manner. We determine which type of moisture extraction device should be used to best serve our clients. While it is important to remove as much water as possible initially, it is also important to stay focused on the amount of water that can be left behind in porous materials.
STRUCTURAL DRYING:
King's Remediation takes careful considerations early on to determine if existing drying sources such as HVAC systems & ceiling fans may be utilized. State-of-the Art clean, decontaminated air moving devices are incorporated into the environment to more efficiently move air across wet surfaces and accelerate evaporation. Utilizing the science of drying, we determine what equipment should be placed to best control the environment for structural drying.
DE-HUMIDIFICATION:
Dehumidification is the process of removing excess moisture from the air. Utilizing clean, decontaminated, high efficiency dehumidifiers, King's Remediation can control humidity and accelerate evaporation and water extraction, moving you closer to the dry standard established early on in the process.
MONITORING:
Our monitoring visits are done regularly to record atmospheric readings & moisture content in building materials and affected areas. King's Remediation utilizes the recorded information to determine what areas if any may be holding the most moisture and re-locate air movers if necessary for additional moisture extraction. Taking measurements allows us to ensure our clients that drying goals are moving forward & in most circumstances being met within a 72 hour period.
